Lyndon and the neighboring small city of Graymoor-Devondale don't get the same buzz as some of eastern Jefferson County's more prestigious addresses, and that's exactly the appeal for a lot of buyers — solid, established neighborhoods in a great location without the premium price tag of Anchorage or Indian Hills.

Where They Are

Both communities sit along the Shelbyville Road / US 60 corridor between St. Matthews and Middletown, close to the Gene Snyder Freeway and just minutes from the shops and restaurants of St. Matthews. Graymoor-Devondale is its own small incorporated city; Lyndon is an unincorporated community and also a distinct MLS city designation covering the surrounding area.

Homes and Prices

This is a well-established, mostly mid-20th-century housing stock — brick ranches, traditional two-stories, and a good number of well-kept mid-century homes on tree-lined streets. Based on recent MLS activity, sold prices in Lyndon have typically ranged from the mid-$200,000s to the mid-$400,000s, making it one of the more accessible entry points into the desirable east end of the county.

Lifestyle and Location

The appeal here is almost entirely about convenience: quick access to St. Matthews' shopping and dining, a short drive to Norton Commons, Anchorage, and the Westport Road corridor, and easy Gene Snyder access for commutes across the county. It's a practical, no-frills choice for buyers who want the east end's location advantages without its highest price points.

Schools

Lyndon and Graymoor-Devondale are served by Jefferson County Public Schools. As always, we'd recommend confirming current attendance boundaries directly with JCPS.
